Mitchell Hamline School of Law is seeking to hire a full-time Custodian/Maintenance. The incumbent in this position will be responsible for maintaining the physical interior and appearance of the overall campus that the building remains a safe, healthy and professional environment. The Custodian/Maintenance will also assist in room setup and takedown for a variety of campus and community events, perform snow removal and salting. Additionally, the Custodian/Maintenance will maintain the School's grounds and landscaping, minor repairs, paining, performance maintenance on lighting systems, and other project work as assigned.

Prerequisite:

To be eligible for this position, you must have obtained a High school diploma or General Equivalency Diplomas (GED); AND a valid Minnesota driver's license and in good standing; AND at least six (6) months of relevant professional experience in general building maintenance and custodial operations.

Knowledge/Skill/Ability:

• Knowledge of cleaning, cleaning supplies and chemicals and snow removal equipment.
• Knowledge of procedures involved in buildings and grounds.
• Ability to work irregular shifts (nights/day) and under adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to recognize hazards and take safety precautions to eliminate them and report them to Supervisor.
• Follow guidelines for chemical use per right to know, including proper storage of chemicals.
• Display high standards of ethical conduct.
• Demonstrate a commitment to quality service.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
